When Elena said I should move to Portland, I made the mistake of saying that might be a good idea. Two months later my house in Seattle sold and I was moving into an old 1907 4-square fixer upper. Her tenacious hunting skills, combined with good humor on those long car rides around town made my search for a home a very rewarding experience. (I actually went through house hunting withdrawal!) Elena was detail-oriented, honest and no nonsense. Our closing was not without obstacles and Elena stayed on top of the seller (at that time a seller’s market) until the kinks were ironed out. What a relief!
